With Halloween quickly approaching, we put together a few of our favorite party recipes with a spooky twist. These creative treats and scary snacks are a great way to showcase your amazing BBQ in a fun way! Check out this collection of terrifying barbecue party ideas for your monster…uh, I mean…Halloween bash.
Skeleton Ribs
This idea is super simple and packs a really scary, and tasty, punch. Order up a couple slabs of our St. Louis-Style pork ribs and arrange them to look like a ribcage from a skeleton. You can even use a roasted red pepper in the center to look like a heart. You can order our ribs online or pick them up at our restaurant in Elgin, TX. If you have the time to smoke your own ribs, we recommend seasoning them with our Smokehouse Seasoning or Texas BBQ Rub.
Mummies
This is a great snack for kids and a true favorite even the adults will love. Similar to pigs in a blanket, this scary snack is as easy to make as they are to eat! For this, use our Original Texas Sausage and pre-made refrigerated biscuit or crescent dough. Cut the biscuits or crescents into strips and wrap around the smoked sausages to resemble mummies. Bake in a 350-degree oven until the dough is golden and cooked through. Use BBQ sauce or mustard for eyes on the mummies. You can pick up the pre-made dough and our sausages at your local grocery store.
Spider Eggs
Everyone loves deviled eggs, right? Well, to up the scare factor for Halloween, turn those delectable egg bites into spider eggs, using black olives. Each deviled egg will require one black olive. Simply cut the black olive in half and place one of the halves in the middle of the egg. Cut the other half into eight strips and use those strips as the legs of the spider. These creepy crawly treats will crawl right into the mouths of your guests.
